The holiday season isn’t over yet! Christmas was great and all but I think we are all definitely ready to ring in the new year and shed the extra pounds gained over the last few weeks. If you still aren’t sure what to do on New Years Eve, don’t fret, there’s still time to figure it out! There’s so many great places in Austin that have special menus and drinks to celebrate the new year.. how will I ever decide.
First up, both Uchi and Uchiko will be serving up six course omakase menus for two. Uchi’s price starts at $75 which also includes a complimentary champagne toast at midnight! Uchiko’s tasting price is a little bit more starting at $125.
Next, Asti and Fino will be celebrating the New Year with three-course menus and other festive specials. If you have a favorite dish that isn’t available on the special menu, don’t worry Fino will also be serving their regular dinner menu as well! Asti will offer 3 courses for $60 and if you have never been to Asti before I’d recommend going for the 4 course meal priced at $75.
Sullivan’s will also be offering a 4 course prix fixe menu and after you gorge yourself in deliciousness you can head next door to Sully’s Side Bar for a little dance party starting at 10 pm! Prices for the fixe menu start at $79 if you get there early (4:00-5:45) and will go up to $89 (6-close). Guests have a choice of appetizer, soup or salad, entree, side dish and desert. A whole lotta food for a reasonable price.
The W Austin presents Drop The Ball, a New Year’s Eve party in W Austin’s Living Room. The Living Room is hot spot for this Saturday. You can reserve seating for $175, this price includes a welcome SIP, a platter of Chef Paul Hargrove’s NYE Nibbles, a bottle of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne (for every two guests), and party favors! This is a great price to be at the hottest living room in town.
If you are looking for a place to dine before Drop The Ball or any other New Year’s Eve party, Trace at the W is still accepting reservations for Saturday. The menu at trace looks delicious and will definitely be a great start to a long night. They will also giving out complimentary glasses of sparkling wine with dessert.
If your not big on dinner I suggest making your way over to Kung Fu Saloon to catch The Dan Band and munch on some hors d’ouevres.
I hope I was helpful in figuring out your New Year’s plans! You won’t be disappointed if you choose any of these places to spend your night. Well, have fun, be safe and I’ll see you next year!
